Establish accounting policies and procedures to ensure that all financial transactions are executed and documented in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Analyze organization's financial position with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budget. Present findings and recommendations to senior management. Assist executives in defining organizational goals and strategic plans. Manage financial, accounting and payroll functions.
The Senior Accountant role at Kineta will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting functions including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and financial reporting. This role will ensure organizational adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements. The accountant will be responsible for timely preparation and review of all required regulatory filings, preparation of quarterly budget versus expense reports, review accounting work and manages accounting close processes and perform analysis on organizational or business unit financial and accounting metrics for presentation to leadership. The accountant will be responsible for preparing financial data for local, state, and federal taxes, governmental audits, and annual financial audit. This role will ensure accurate and timely correspondence with independent auditors.
